Those answers shape the design far more than any reference image ever could.

Pinterest Can Show Me the Style, Not the Story

Most people walk in with a folder full of saved tattoos.

And I genuinely love that.

It gives me an idea of what you’re drawn to—whether it’s delicate linework, bold blackwork, soft florals, or something completely abstract.

But references are only the beginning.

What I’m really interested in is what drew you to those images in the first place.

Sometimes it’s the composition.

Sometimes it’s the feeling.

Sometimes it’s something you can’t quite put into words.

That’s where we begin creating something that’s yours.

There’s No Rush

One thing I always tell clients is that it’s okay to take your time.

If we need to adjust the size, we will.

If we need to rethink the placement, we will.

If the design doesn’t feel quite right yet, we’ll keep working on it.

A tattoo is permanent, but the process of designing it doesn’t have to be rushed.

The goal isn’t to finish quickly.

The goal is to get it right.

I promise, there isn’t such a thing.

I’d much rather spend extra time answering questions than have someone leave feeling uncertain.

The Best Tattoos Feel Personal

Some of my favourite tattoos have started with the simplest conversations.

A story about a childhood memory.

A pet who changed someone’s life.

A place that felt like home.

A line from a book.

A tiny symbol that only one person in the world truly understands.

Those are the tattoos I remember long after they’re finished.

Not because they’re the biggest or the most detailed.

Because they belong completely to the person wearing them.

It’s Something We Create Together

People often say they’re “getting a tattoo from me.”

I like to think we’re creating it together.

You bring the story.

I bring the experience, the design, and the technical side.

Somewhere in the middle, we create something neither of us could have made alone.

And that’s what makes tattooing so special to me.
