Appointments Aren’t Casual: Why Showing Up on Time Matters

It’s Not Just a Booking — It’s Time Set Aside for You

At Morphology, every tattoo is done by appointment. That means when you book a slot, that time is blocked only for you.

It’s not a walk-in system. It’s not first-come-first-serve.
It’s planned, prepared, and intentional.

So when someone doesn’t show up on time — or doesn’t show up at all — it doesn’t just affect me. It affects the entire flow of the day.

What Happens Before You Even Arrive

Most people only see the tattoo session. But there’s a lot that happens before that:

• Time spent understanding your idea
• Designing or preparing your piece
• Setting up a clean, sterile workspace
• Keeping that slot exclusively for you

When you’re late or don’t show up, all of that time goes unused.

It’s About Respect — Not Rules

This isn’t about being strict for no reason.

It’s about respecting:
• The artist’s time
• Other clients’ appointments
• The effort that goes into each session

A 15–20 minute delay might seem small, but it can push everything else ahead and affect someone else’s experience too.

Why the 15-Minute Buffer Exists

At the studio, there’s a 15-minute buffer window for every appointment.

Things happen — traffic, delays, life. That’s understandable.
But beyond that window, the appointment stands cancelled.

Not to be harsh — but to keep things fair and manageable for everyone.

If You Can’t Make It — Just Say It

Plans change. That’s completely okay.

But a quick message helps a lot.
It allows that slot to be adjusted, or given to someone else who might be waiting.

No-shows without communication are the hardest to work around.

From My Side of the Chair

I try to give every client a calm, unrushed experience. That only works when the schedule is respected.

This studio runs on trust — and that goes both ways.

Final Thought

When you book an appointment, you’re not just reserving time.
You’re committing to a shared process.

Show up on time.
Or let me know if you can’t.

That’s all it takes to keep things smooth — for you, for me, and for everyone who walks through the studio.
